Dr. Meaglia was born and raised in Arcadia, California, the youngest of five children. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California where he was received Magna Cum Laude honors. He obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School. His six years of Postgraduate Specialty Training at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center were divided into two years of general surgery followed by four years of in-depth training in adult urology. During these years, he developed an avid interest in cancer surgery, benign diseases of the prostate, impotence, and stone disease. Within his specialty, Dr. Meaglia has authored articles published in the widely recognized Journal of Urology. He is board certified in Urology and has been practicing in the local area for over 18 years.

Dr. Meaglia resides in San Clemente with his wife, Diane, a Registered Dental Hygienist and their three children. The family enjoys traveling to Hawaii, Palm Springs and Big Bear where they can ride scooters, bikes and boogie boards. Dr. Meaglia also enjoys golf and basketball. He has strong ties to the San Clemente community where his parents have also resided for the last 25 years.
